LOS ANGELES — Ben Woolf, the 34-year-old “American Horror Story: Freak Show” actor who was hit by a car while crossing the street last week, has died from his injuries, his talent agent confirmed to Mashable.
Woolf, who stood 4′ 3½” and played Meep on the most recent season of the show, was crossing a Hollywood street when an SUV’s side mirror struck his head last Thursday night. He was hospitalized in critical condition and died Monday of his injuries, according to Henderson Represents.
TMZ first reported the news, saying that Woolf had suffered a stroke Monday afternoon.
“Meep” in “American Horror Story: Freakshow.”
Woolf’s character, Meep, was small but emotional; all he could say was “Meep!” But he’d already been on the FX series, in the first season, in heavy prosthetics as the bloodthirsty, reanimated undead child Infantata.
