Dr. Dre had a pretty big 2015 after executive producing one of the hottest films of the year, Straight Outta Compton. And the film also inspired him to release his first album in 15 years. Now it’s looking like the hip-hop will tackle television next.
According to the Hollywood Reporter Apple will back their first ever scripted series titled “Vital Signs”. Where Dr. Dre will executive produce and star in. Insiders are speculating that the show will be a semi-autobiographical, with each episode focusing on a different emotion and how Dre’s character deals with it.
The show will definitely not shy away from sex and violence. Earlier this week it was reported an extended orgy scene was shot. Sources say naked extras simulated sex in a mansion in the Bird Streets neighborhood of Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills.
As of now neither Apple nor Dr. Dre have confirmed the series, but sources say there are a total of six-episodes that will run around a half-hour. And with all of the multiple platforms that Apple offers it will more than likely appear on Apple Music.
