LOS ANGELES — Do you want to build another snowman?
Disney on Thursday announced plans for a sequel to Frozen, its $1.27 billion animated global megablockbuster, in the same shareholders meeting where chairman Bob Iger let loose with Star Wars news.
Frozen directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, along with producer Peter Del Vecho, return to create the sequel to the Oscar-winning film.
“We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” said John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
Despite all the excitement, Kristen Bell, the voice of Anna, was pretty chill about it:
