“SOME INVEST IN STOCKS AND BONDS BUT I INVEST IN LIVES, I MEAN THEY DO LIVE IN THE HOOD AND CARRY GUNS SO IT JUST MADE SENSE”

Said haddonfield, Illinois former janitor Mike Myers.

State Farm is investigating several claims totaling $47.8 million in which he has already collected $20 million from the deaths of Chicago teenagers he placed life insurance policies on. There are some discrepancies on how he was able to obtain all their social security numbers considering he was a custodian at the school were all of the teens attended.

Mike had been working as a janitor at a Chicago High School for the past 15 years and says he got the idea after seeing so many students get killed over the years. His last day of work was on Halloween in 2010, then he retired after collecting on his first life insurance investment.

“I DON’T THINK IT’S A CRIME IT WAS A REALLY HUGE RISK, I USED MY ENTIRE 401K AND MY WIFE WAS PISSED BUT NOW SHE’S HAPPY SINCE I BOUGHT OUR 10,000 SQUARE FEET MANSION AND MOVED OUT THE CITY TO HADDONFIELD, ALL THANKS TO THE GANG BANGERS”

No charges have been filed by police but State Farm has several polices he owns on hold while they continue the investigation.

Do you think what Mike is doing is wrong? Let us know in the comments…

Well if he wasnt the cause of their death, or didn’t falsify the applications. Seems to be legal from reading the article.

  • Lisa

He stole their social security numbers, frauded an insurance company, all while capitalizing on the deaths of teenagers!! How is he not in prison??

  • Riskii

Ummmmmm he STOLE their social security numbers, has no relation to them so he had to forge or lie… How tf didnt he commit a crime

EXACTLY! This is a question of morals before we even get to crime. He’s a piece of shit he’s not smart

EXACTLY! This is a question of morals before we even get to crime. He’s a piece of shit he’s not smart by a long shot

  • Gary Dwayne

    Story is fake. Chill.

  • Gary Dwayne

No where it said he stole ss numbers in this fake story. And btw, there’s a whole industry of companies buying ppl’s life insurance policies, then reaping the payout when the person dies. It’s dark, but it’s not illegal.

  • tariq

If this was a real story it would not be the least bit surprising considering the circumstances.

  • How could he get their death certificates and wouldn’t he need their signatures?

  • Silly Billy

    ????????????????????

This is just a thought ao spare me debates & bs. Most young african american families dont buy into life insurance Im black and I see old classmates dying like everyday. They may have seemed to live well, had the best clothes, nice cars etc… Then you log in facebook & see their families asking for donations and creating go fund me accounts for burial expenses. Maybe he negotiated plans with the parents like in the case of death Ill pay for the funeral and you provide the proof to collect. The parents could’ve agreed with thinking it’ll never happen to my child but Ill indulge. Or thought I wont have to worry about it anymore. When the unexpected took place they went to the one person they knew would be able to collect burial funds with the proper documentation. Like i said just rationalizing the situation. Most likely its a made up story pushing people to plan for the worst since its such a relaxed notion up until you’re begging for handouts. I dont see it being dumb or even criminal. I believe people get angry after hearing the truth. So it may have rubbed folks wrong that he said gang members who already carry guns. Well in the real world no matter the background ethnicity nationality however you prefer to take it PEOPLE WHO LIVE WRONG DONT USUALLY LIVE LONG Thats real whether its a true story or made up one.

  • gloriapicchetti

Some of the comments say this is not a true story. I wonder if it is or not.

  • Just Me Rickey Lee

    That sounds likely to me!
Even if it isn’t what happened it still would make since to happen!

  • OptimisticRealist

Y’ALL. Google is your friend. Mike Myers is the name of the serial killer in the Halloween franchise. The original film was set in the fictional town of Haddonfield, IL, where this article says the fake janitor is from. With that said, we need to be educating our community about the importance of purchasing their own life insurance (which is know is no easy initiative given the institutional and economic racism we struggle with. It breaks my heart anytime I see someone crowdfunding for a loved one’s funeral. I also wouldn’t be surprised to find out that something like this actually happens, since there are plenty of people who have unfettered access to our private information and could conceivably steal it for such purposes.

  • Trav

Come on y’all pay attention to what you read a guy named Mike Myers in Haddonfield Illinois who hasn’t worked since Halloween haven’t y’all watched a movie in the last 30 years I suppose all the death certificates were signed by Dr. Loomis too

  • charlie X

It never said he stole their ss# and you don’t have to be there in anyway for anyone to take out a policy on another person. That’s why you have to destroy all mail before you throw in the garbage. I can take out a policy on you without your knowledge and it’s all legal

  • Pop

Damn . That’s was deep & so true

  • Charlotte

Walmart used to do this on their employees…and that is NOT fake. We’re told it[‘s stopped now…but I doubt it has. Employees families went with nothing when the breadwinner lost his life, but Walmart made out like the bandits they are.

  • Jah Ranu Men-Ab

That’s not the same. The companies you are talking about purchase the policies from the legitimate owners. The man in the story purchased his own policy on the children. Fake or not, the lesson to be learned is that if our people buy insurance policies on a knucklehead children comma some of the tragedies we suffer will begin to go away as the insurance companies enrich us.

insurance is one of the many ways some white families became wealthy and wealthier. black people used to have our own insurance companies. In fact many of the pastors who started churches also started insurance companies, and many churches insured their own members. insurance and Mortuary science used to be the largest Industries among black Americans, second only to the black church.

    LET’S DO IT AGAIN!

  • Lena

Fake ain’t even the word !!

  • PAUL

Even if the story is fake , it still has an important message to it….. The Black Community needs to STOP THE VIOLENCE

  • Fred Kruger

Google who Mike (Michael ) Myers is and it will all make sense.

  • boricuamixn216

Impossible as the insurance company would require physical exams for any value over $100,000 plus he would have to prove that he has a credible investment if they were to die (business partners, spouse, children, etc). He also wouldn’t be able to afford the 30 premiums for policies for almost $700,000 on each person as a janitor.

  • boricuamixn216

No, I work for a life insurance company and you absolutely can’t take it a policy on someone else you do not have vested interest in as the company will ask very detailed interview questions as well as require physical exams, medical history, driving history and prescription records for policies over $99,999 or when taking out multiple policies they will ask and verify if you have insurance policies on other people, the number of them and the amounts of each policy. When the person passes you are also required to submit the official death certificate, not a copy, as well as your identification and verification of your relationship to the insured.
