Reebok following in the foot steps with the likes of Nike has decided to retro a fan favorite basketball sneaker from the early 90s, its beloved street ball classic the Blacktop Battleground pump sneaker in two different colorways going with black/purple/teal and white/black/purple. The sneaker features a leather upper with plush nubuck on the overlay on the sneakers heel. The sneaker also features it signature all over splatter detail though out the sneakers overlay.
It sticks with the same technology as it had in the ’90s with extra padding within the sneaker for off court play with Reebok’s Hexalite cushioning system and Pump technology. Also in Reebok’s pipeline of Black Top releases will be the “Black Top Boulevard, the mid-cut sneaker that is more of an on-court and off-court sneaker for casual wear. In total Reebok will retro four different colorways in the month of May. The Reebok Classic Blacktop Battleground collection will be available at selected accounts like Jimmy Jazz, Expressions, Shiekh, City Gear, Villa, DTLR and Atlanta’s Wish sneaker store.
