You can pretend you’re not interested in buying the Apple Watch, but most will admit to at least being curious enough to try the device on to see what it’s like.
Now you can do just that, virtually, by using the Apple Store app, which gives you “actual size” examples of the device’s case, allowing you to see how the Apple Watch will look on your wrist.
Displaying both the 38mm and the 42mm sizes of the smartwatch casing, the app can give you a general sense of which Apple Watch size might best fit your wrist proportions.
Of course, the virtual sample doesn’t provide a sense of how the device and its assorted bands will feel on your wrist, but until April 10, when the device will be in stores for in-person try-ons (on sale date is April 24), this is the next best thing.
And if for some reason your budget rules out any new wrist candy in the near future, thanks to the Apple Store app, you can at least take a look at what wearing a $10,000 smartwatch might be like. That is, without hustling Apple retail employees into thinking you’re the child of wealthy oil barons looking for a new tech bauble.
